Reactions have been rolling from the 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.

Red Hot Chili Peppers:

  • Drummer Chad Smith tweeted, "Those crazy bastards at the Hall of Fame are putting us in this year?! How about them apples! Seriously, I'm very humbled and grateful. Wow."
  • Singer Anthony Kiedis tells Rolling Stone that the first person he told was his father, "and my dad cried."
  • Flea posted a note on the Peppers' website saying, "I am not usually one to get too excited about awards or accolades, but about this one I am very excited indeed."

Beastie Boys issued a statement that said, "We're in the rock and roll hall of fame? That's crazy and awesome...We give thanks to New York City and the world of musical influence it provided for us."

While Drowning Pool continue to look for a new singer, two members have found time to work on a side project. Guitarist C.J. Pierce and drummer Mike Luce have teamed up with ex-Nonpoint guitarist Zach Broderick and bassist Ken MacMillan for Voodoo Corps. Don’t know a whole helluva lot about the band yet, except that they've posted one track called "Lights Out" on their Facebook page.
