Green Day are hitting a tiny New York City venue tonight for a Halloween-themed concert. The trio just announced the gig at The Studio at Webster Hall -- which holds approximately 300 people -- yesterday morning and it sold out instantly. They're asking lucky fans who got tickets to come in costume.

Jane's Addiction's The Great Escape Artist is their second-highest charting album ever. Its bow at number-12 puts it behind only 2003's Strays, which peaked at number-four.

Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer Chad Smith celebrated his 50th birthday on Tuesday, and celebrate he did as his wife threw him a surprise party in New York. Among those in attendance was Jason Bonham who says that the party included a roast and a poker game.

He adds that at one point, Smith was wearing a mullet wig. "He just looked like the old Chad we used to know from back when." Smith, just back from European dates with the Peppers, will be back there next week when the tour resumes Friday in Dublin.
