Listen to this morning's report
The Los Angeles Coroner's Office has ruled that former Warrant singer Jani Lane died from "acute ethanol poisoning." His body was found in an L.A.-area hotel on August 11th. Lane, who'd battled alcohol problems for years, was found with a half-empty bottle of vodka and prescription medication. He was 47.
Slash and his band are starting work on his second solo album this week. The guitarist writes, "Looking good to record 3 songs starting this weekend. Then Myles [Kennedy] is going back out with Alter Bridge. [We'll] resume recording in December [or] January."
