Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor is a Golden Globe nominee for the second year in a row. Reznor and Atticus Ross are up for Best Motion Picture Original Score for their work on The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. The duo won the award this year for The Social Network, which also brought them an Oscar.

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell is up for Best Motion Picture Original Song for "The Keeper" from Machine Gun Preacher.

The 2012 Golden Globes will air live from L.A. on January 15th on NBC.

Godsmack frontman Sully Erna says they're headed into the studio next month to mix a live album and to record a handful of covers that will be included with that release. Erna tells the Boston Herald that the covers will be songs that "inspired us along the way" and that a spring tour with Staind will promote the live package.
