Lou Reed and Metallica, a week after releasing less than 40 seconds of “The View,” a song from their forthcoming album, Lulu, are now streaming the entire song at their official website, LouReedMetallica.com. The album, a collection of songs Reed wrote for the German theater group Berliner Ensemble’s production of the Lulu Plays, will be out on November 1st. Hear the full track here

An L.A. judge extended the temporary restraining order on Friday against the neighbor Zakk Wylde had accused of stalking. 20-year-old John Radich has been ordered to stay at least 50 yards away from Wylde and his family for a period of three years. At the hearing, Wylde described a couple of recent break-ins to his property by Radich, including one in which he left a bizarre “sacrifice.” Wylde’s wife said she’s afraid to live next to him.
15 artists were announced this morning as nominees for 2012 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
- The Beastie Boys are on the ballot for the third time.
- Red Hot Chili Peppers are making their second appearance on the ballot.
- The rest are first-timers — The Cure, Eric B. and Rakim, Guns n’ Roses, Heart, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Freddie King, Rufus with Chaka Khan, The Small Faces/The Faces and The Spinners.
Ballots will be sent to more than 500 voters, who will select the artists to be inducted at the Rock Hall’s 27th annual induction ceremony on April 14th in Cleveland. To be eligible, an artist or band must have released its first single or album at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination.
