-- the side project of Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer, Faith No More bassist Billy Gould and Bad Religion drummer Brooks Wackerman -- will release their self-titled debut album digitally on October 25th. They're hoping to play a few shows behind it if their schedules allow.

The London subway system has decided not to allow Metallica and Lou Reed to advertise their collaboration Lulu in their stations. It's not that they think the promo poster is too controversial -- it's because it looks too much like graffiti and they're concerned it could inspire riders to deface other posters.

The poster and album cover feature a limbless mannequin with album name written across it in what looks like blood.

Sorry to cause you to cry yourself to sleep tonight, but R.E.M. announced yesterday that they're breaking up.
