I was crackin' up because my day started with this email, the subject line was:

THIS JUST IN...

The "news" was:

Limp Bizkit signs with hip-hop label Cash Money.

I'm like really!?  That constituted an email?  See, this is why I stopped checking my email.

Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee has settled a lawsuit filed by his former assistant. Radar Online says Michael Sullivan will get $400,000 from Lee as well as a "public apology." Sullivan's suit claimed that he worked virtually around the clock, that Lee made improper deductions from his paycheck and that Lee bad-mouthed him, which cost Sullivan tour-manager gigs with Godsmack and Bush.  Hmmm, Tommy being a total dick to the peon who brings his coffee & whores, NO WAY!

The members of Pearl Jam have a busy spring lined up with projects outside the band.

  • Guitarist Stone Gossard's side band Brad has just announced that its fifth album, United We Stand, will be released on April 24th. Gossard and company will do a brief West Coast tour after that.
  • Fat Kid Rules the World, which features a score by guitarist Mike McCready, will have its premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival March 9th through the 17th.
  • And more shows have been added to Eddie Vedder's solo tour, which kicks off April 10th in Las Vegas. Vedder will now hit 15 cities -- with two shows in most markets -- before wrapping up May 17th in Orlando.

And I’m thinkin’ that Vegas show is your best bet.

Toadies will open for Social Distortion on their spring tour. The band will also release a new EP called Play Rock Music on May 8th.

12 Stones will release their new album Beneath the Scars on May 22nd.
