One of metal's most mourned tragedies is the death of classic Metallica bassist Cliff Burton. Though Burton passed away back in 1986, the musician's name is always on the tip of Metallica fans' tongues.

Anthrax were on the road with Metallica during the ill-fated European tour where Burton was killed in a bus accident, but before Burton's demise, he had developed a friendship with Anthrax bassist Frank Bello.

As Bello told us during an exclusive interview, he and Burton formed a tradition where one would say farewell with the line, "Maybe I'll see you tomorrow," before the other responded, "Maybe I will." Sadly, the custom between the two bassists took a turn that was all too real.
