Anthrax's Scott Ian is the man; he's the walking dude and he's seen all of the world and now he's recounting his tales from the road and elsewhere in a new book, Access All Areas: Stories From a Hard Rock Life. The follow-up to his I'm the Man: The Story of That Guy From Anthrax autobiography, is set for a Dec. 12 release through Da Capo Press.

A description of the book offers insight as to what fans can expect, stating, "Scott Ian, rhythm guitarist and co-founder of Anthrax and author of I'm the Man, collects all of his craziest hard rock stories into one balls-to-the-wall volume. Access All Areas has tales of humor, excess, fun, debauchery, food, booze and mayhem from Scott's many years on the road as well as his encounters with celebrities like Dimebag Darrell, Trent Reznor / NIN, Madonna, Lemmy Kilmister, John Carpenter, Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Slayer, David Lee Roth and many more."

Apart from performing with Anthrax, Ian has honed his storytelling craft on the road on spoken word tours, which certainly prepared him for his next venture in the literary world. His carefree attitude allows him to poke fun at himself, which adds an overtly human and grounded quality to his tales. Pre-orders are available now at this location.

Speaking with Ultimate Classic Rock in December of last year, Ian previewed what was on the horizon with his forthcoming book, stating, "It’s all stories that didn’t fit into the flow of the first book. The first book is an autobiography and, at least for me, there’s a certain flow to that and the way I wanted the story to move along at a really quick pace. There’s just a lot of stories I had written that just really didn’t fit into it – not because they were to tangential, but because I felt they were kind of taking you away from the path a little bit too much. That’s where I ended up with a whole list of really great tales that just didn’t work in the first book, but in a book full of stories? They’re gonna be great."

Following the success of the "Killthrax" co-headlining tour between Killswitch Engage and Anthrax earlier this year, the two acts are linking back up in January of 2018 for round two.
