Assault With a Bodily Fluid Tops A Long List Of Crime This Week In Missoula

Crime numbers didn’t stay down for long in Missoula. County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says her office filed 14 new criminal complaints this week.

“Six of those were violent crimes,” Pabst said. “We had six property crimes and a drug case, criminal possession with intent to distribute, as well as a failure to register with that particular defendant. We filed one parenting interference case, which generally goes in to the administrative crimes category.”

According to Pabst, that particular case involved a parent taking a child out of state so that the other parent couldn’t have contact. She went on to explain the violent crimes that took place this week as well.

“We filed two family violence cases and we filed a sexual assault case,” Pabst said. “The defendant allegedly sexually assaulted different victims. There were three counts and all of the victims were under the age of 16. We filed three other violent crimes. One was assault with a bodily fluid that occurred in the detention facility, which is pretty self-explanatory. There were two different cases involving assault with a weapon.”

In addition to all the cases involving violence, Pabst says there were two new forgery and theft cases, a criminal mischief and a deceptive practices case.
