If you’re planning on cooking for your date or taking her out for a nice Valentine’s Day meal, there are a few foods you want to avoid. Most of these foods could probably be considered manly foods, but that is not why they are on the naughty, do not eat list
This time of year is filled with the sniffles and the sneezes. My boys have been coughing and hacking for the past couple months. It seems that as soon as one gets well, the cold has moved on to the next one. Pretty soon the whole family has had a cold for a month. If at all possible, I like to treat my family’s colds with natural methods. Here are a few natural remedies I have found to help soothe and cure those nasty winter colds.
Okay guys, I’m going to help you out and let you in on the secret of what it is that women really want from you for Valentine’s Day. This list might seem quite simple, but it’s meant to help keep you out of the doghouse on this most romantic of holidays
As you probably know, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. If you didn’t remember it was just around the corner, than you’re welcome for the reminder. While I’m in the business of doing you favors, I’m going to go ahead and do you one more
There was only one winner this past Sunday. It looked like the game was going to be a blow out for the Baltimore Ravens, that is until the power went out. The Ravens seemed to fall asleep when the stadium went dark.
I love baking, but don’t always have time to make things from scratch. My kids have dessert or a baked good of some sort almost every day. But with my kids getting older and playing sports and all the other after school activities that they are involved in, I don’t have as much time to bake as I would like. So, when I can find a way to make my life a little easier, I do it. I ran across this recipe on Pinterest the other day and couldn’t wait to try it. It’s easy enough that my boys can make it by themselves too.
The long and short of it is yes. Cats are the worst kind of killers – serial killers. They kill over and over and usually with the same M.O. According to a report put together by scientists from the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute and the Fish and Wildlife Service, it was estimated that cats in the United States (both domestic and feral) kill 2.4 billion birds and 12.3 billion mammals a year.
This soup is called potato pig, because I use either ham or bacon when I make this soup. All the boys in my family love both, but I definitely prefer ham. There is nothing quite like hot potato soup on a cold Montana day. It’s creamy and hearty. This is a super simple recipe. If you wanted to make it even simpler, you could always prep the potatoes and onions the night before then all you have to do is throw everything in the crockpot in the morning before work. This would save you at least 20 minutes in the morning. I don’t have a lot of spare time in the mornings, so this makes it way more convenient.
Being a female my entire life, I have never really understood what goes on in the minds of males. I have gained a little understanding having to live with five males, but I’m afraid I may never really grasp the strange things that testosterone makes them do. I sit back and watch my boys always try to one up each other. If one jumps off the bottom two steps, the next one wants to jump down five steps, and the last one wants to jump down the whole flight. There is no end to always trying to out-do each other.
I’m sorry to inform you that this list is going to be rather short, as the fish naturally have limited real flies to choose from this time of year. This means, we don’t have very many tied flies that will work in the winter
Hockey is known for being a rough sport. It is the definition of full contact. I don’t think I’ve ever met a hockey player who had all his teeth. Hockey players are notorious for getting in fights and getting injured. So, I’ve dug up a list of professional hockey players, who sustained injuries off the ice, instead of on.
