The Chicago Cubs actually have a shot at winning their first World Series since 1908, and 'Back To The Future II' predicted it.

I'm not much into baseball, but have been following the playoffs since realizing that the stats in the Gray's Sports Almanac from BTTFII could actually be correct.

The follow up to Back To The Future, where the story finds Marty in 2015, debuted in 1989. The screenwriter says that when they were writing the part about the World Series, he was just trying to come up with the most unlikely scenario, with the Cubs winning the championship.

They play again Saturday and if they win that one, it's off to the World Series and one step closer to making the Back To The Future Theory awesome.
