It was 60 degrees in Corvallis and the day was topped with a few beautiful fish.

Well it was such a nice day I had to get out. A couple of my friends decided the same. What a day it was in western Montana and why not head to the Root for some fishing fun.

Ben, Jason and I decided to head down south towards Hamilton. There are so many areas that you can fish but we decided to go to one of my favorite spots.

Right now the Skwala hatch is about to go off but twice now in the last week I have used Skwala patterns with no luck. The San Juan was working well though!

The water was warmer then I thought it would be too!
