Before Calling 9-1-1, Make Sure They’re Dead

Is this chick alive or dead? It seems folks in Madison, Wisconsin couldn't tell, as 9-1-1 operators were

overwhelmed with calls from cellphone users reporting people lying on the grass, not moving, possibly not living.

Blame our Zombie-soaked, Walking Dead culture.Nevertheless, as the weather finally turns springy it's probably worth remembering that someone laying on the grass is probably napping, not dying or dead. As one comment notes:

A simple rule of thumb: If it's July, leave them alone. If it's January, call 911
