The U.S. Capitol Christmas tree has reached it's final destination in our nation's capitol. The journey started in the Kootenai National Forest where the tree was harvested earlier this month. It was then loaded on a big rig and slowly shipped across the country. The Big Sky Big Tree made a Big Journey across America, making multiple stops along the way. Today it arrived and was recently set in it's spot near the U.S. Capitol. As crews hurry to decorate the tree, a sixth grader from Bozeman will be the one to do the honors of lighting the tree this year.

See footage of the tree being placed on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol earlier today.
