Rock and metal had another strong week on the Billboard 200 chart. Bring Me the Horizon's That's the Spirit landed at No. 2, while Slayer's Repentless hit the No. 4 spot.

This marks the second week in a row where not only did rock and metal releases invade the Top 5, but actually charted at No. 2 and No. 4. Last week, Five Finger Death Punch's Got Your Six was No. 2 while Iron Maiden's The Book of Souls took No. 4. This week, FFDP still stayed strong by only sliding down to No. 7 with an additional 34,000 units sold.

Bring Me the Horizon landed their first Top 10 album in the U.S. with That's the Spirit, moving the equivalent of 62,000 units. The band lost out on the No. 1 spot to R&B singer The Weeknd (who tallied 99,000 units moved factoring in album sales and streams), but BMTH actually topped him in pure album sales. This marks a gigantic step up for Bring Me the Horizon, more than doubling their first-week sales of Sempiternal back in 2013. Congrats, lads.

As for Slayer, Repentless sold 50,000 copies in its first week and marked the band's highest U.S. charting position ever. This is Slayer's third record to burst into the Top 10 and the only one to outrank 2006's Christ Illusion, which peaked at No. 5.

Congratulations to both Bring Me the Horizon and Slayer for making history this week! Let's keep it going, shall we? To grab a copy of That's the Spirit, click here and to bang your head to Repentless, click here.
