With NOFX facing serious backlash over the comments at the Punk Rock Bowling festival about the Las Vegas shootings last fall, organizers of their Camp Punk in Drublic festival scheduled for this weekend have revealed that the show will go on, but without NOFX and Fat Mike's other band, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes.

In a statement, the festival producers revealed that Descendents have been added to the Saturday festival lineup, while The Vandals will take over for Me First and the Gimme Gimmes at the Friday Night Kickoff Party.

"While NOFX is known for their dark, uncomfortable humor, the festival producers of Camp Punk In Drublic are shocked and disappointed by the band’s recent statements about the Route 91 Harvest Festival victims and country music fans. These statements do not reflect the feelings or views of the Camp Punk In Drublic festival, its staff and its sponsors.
The festival producers support fans of all music genres and take safety very seriously at all of their events," reads the statement. "Out of respect for Route 91 Harvest Festival victims and their families, Camp Punk In Drublic will make a donation to a fund benefiting those affected by the 2017 tragedy."

The weekend festival kicks off tomorrow at Legend Valley near Columbus, Ohio and will also feature Rancid, Pennywise, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Goldfinger and more. See the full statement here and visit the event website for more details.

Meanwhile, NOFX's Fat Mike has weighed in on the controversy, stating via the band's social media, "I can’t sleep, no one in my band can. What we said in Vegas was shitty and insensitive and we are all embarrassed by our remarks. So we decided we will all get together to discuss and write an in depth, sincere, and honest apology because that’s what the people we offended and hurt deserve." The apology has not been posted as of yet, but we'll add to this story when it arrives.

It was announced earlier in the day that Stone Brewing, who had partnered with the band for their Punk in Drublic beer, and had been sponsoring their touring, was severing ties with the group after the comments.
