As we reported a few days ago, Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer singer Maynard James Keenan has signed a deal with the Phoenix New Times to write a bi-weekly column for the newspaper. Now, Keenan has jumped into his role as a gonzo journalist, as the Phoenix New Times has published the first textual offering from the prolific creator.
One of my buddies from High School has come a long way in his career as a stand up comedian. He is living in LA but always finds himself missing his home in Montana. He recently hooked up a LIVE show in Hamilton this last weekend. He did 2 nights at the Roxy. In case you missed it, check out some clips of his standup.

Last Thursday at the Dark Horse Bar, 107.5 Zoo FM was represented by Aaron “Tallest DJ in America” Traylor, while 96.3 The Blaze mid-day host J.C. held it down for her team, as they both whipped up their best drinks to score points with the brave tasting panel consisting of five men, and three women.
Maybe she was just celebrating the beginning of a new school year.

This past Sunday, I found myself in Times Square following a crowd of mostly men, some with cowbells, chanting “Free your breasts, free your mind!” It took quite a few minutes for me to see any boobs, as the small group of protesters was flanked on all sides by eager onlookers.
I love metal and rock covers of pop songs for two reasons. 1) It makes the song more tolerable, and 2) you can't help but laugh at how ridiculous some of the covers are.
