07/27/2012 The opening ceremonies are my favorite part of the Olympics. As we speak the opener has begun in London. But we can't watch the ceremony until 7:30PM. It doesn't feel the same if it isn't LIVE, but these days I rarely watch LIVE TV anymore.

Mick Delaney Now Official Griz Head Football Coach
The ‘interim’ tag has officially been removed from Griz Football Coach Mick Delaney. The University of Montana announced Thursday morning that Delaney has signed a two-year contract and is now the official head coach of the Grizzlies. The announcement came at a press conference held in the Canyon Club, fittingly located inside Washington Grizzly Stadium. Interim Athletics Director Jean Gee made the announcement after a brief introduction by University of Montana President Royce Engstrom.

At a press conference held today Tuesday, July 26, The University of Montana announced that interim head Grizzly football coach Mick Delaney has signed a two-year contract. Thus, ending his interim designation.

KGVO News learned from interim University of Montana Athletics Director Jean Gee on Friday that quarterback and running back Gerald Kemp is no longer on the Grizzly football team. Gee says Kemp was removed from the team for ‘violation of team rules’.
