The City of Missoula will hold a bicycle auction Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Gardner's Auction Service on Highway 93 South.

Ben Weiss with the city's bike/pedestrian office says there are nearly 60 bicycles of all types and descriptions available, and that the Gardner's Auction personnel will conduct the auction.

Weiss said every effort has been made to find the owners of the bicycles that have either been found abandoned or stolen over the past few months, and that actually four people have been reunited with their missing bikes prior to the auction.

Bikes will be available for viewing from 9 a.m. to noon, and again from 1 to 4 p.m. at Gardner's, and the sale will start promptly at 5 p.m.
