Listen up Dokken fans! All you "Dream Warriors" fantasizing about a reunion "Just Got Lucky" because the classic lineup responsible for albums like Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key and Back for the Attack will be getting back together for a series of Japanese shows later this year.

The current Dokken lineup boasts founding member Don Dokken and drummer Mick Brown, but they'll be joined by fellow classic members George Lynch on guitar and Jeff Pilson on bass to perform six shows in Japan. Brown confirmed the news on One on One With Mitch LaFon (audio below), revealing, “There’s talk of us doing something in Japan at the end of this year and if that happens and we make it through, then there could be talk about something. Let’s just get through six shows and if we can do that, then maybe we can go ahead. It’s just up in the air.”

The band has made multiple attempts to bring this lineup back together, coming close in 2010 when Don and Lynch both appeared on set together for an episode of That Metal Show. Shortly after, it was announced a reunion of the classic lineup was not feasible given everyone's schedules. The dual appearance was a crucial step, however, as notable tensions exist between the guitar player and frontman.

Brown is still unsure about these tensions, stating, “It was something that was there since day one and it’s never going to go away — and that’s what’s making me feel hesitant about getting together again." The drummer continued, “I haven’t see a change in either one of them, so I don’t know what to expect. But I’m willing to find out. In spite of ourselves, we always seem to do well. It’s never very easy and I’m sure it’s not going to be this time either.”

The drummer admits that the reunion is ultimately a financial decision. “It’s the money we’re doing it for and I think that’s the wrong reason. The reason should be we want to play together – and I don’t think anyone wants to play together – but the money we’re being offered to do it, you just can’t say no.”

Lynch was in Dokken from 1980 through '89 when the band split up, returning when the band re-formed in 1993, remaining on until 1998. Pilson enjoyed a stint from '83 until the breakup and again from 1993 through 2001, signing on after the Breaking the Chains debut. Together, the classic lineup recorded seven studio albums.
