College of Technology Now Officially Missoula College [AUDIO]

What’s in a name? Ask the students and faculty at was yesterday the University of Montana College of Technology, but today is the Missoula College.
At a ceremony at the Missoula College Wednesday afternoon, dignitaries spoke of the significance of the name change. Mayor Jon Engen, University of Montana President Royce Engstrom, Commissioner of Higher Education Clay Christian and others lined the dais and shared their view of the new vision for the two-year institution.
Not mentioned in the celebration, was the continuing effort by many community groups to have the new Missoula College built somewhere other than the proposed South Campus location. For today, attendees simply enjoyed the delicious food prepared by culinary school students, and took tours of the facility, also led by Missoula College students.
