The Montana Grizzlies ran into foul trouble early and the hot-shooting BYU Cougars ran away with an 85-60 victory Wednesday night in Salt Lake City.

The Griz turned the ball over 17 times, and leading scorer Matthias Ward got into foul trouble early in the game. Add to their troubles that starting center Eric Hutchinson was out with an injury, and the depleted Griz were overmatched by BYU.

Big Sky defensive player of the year and leading scorer from last season, Will Cherry is still out with a broken foot.

Kareen Jamar led the Grizzlies with 17 points.

The Griz will stay on the road and head further west to California to take on the San Francisco Don Friday night at 8 p.m. Mountain time. Mick Holien will have the play-by-play on KGVO AM and FM.
