Earlier this week (Dec. 3), Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl sat down for a quick, but thorough, chat with 'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart' on Comedy Central. Somehow, in the span of just a few minutes, Stewart was able to cover the ins and outs of everything surrounding the Foos' eight-part HBO docu-series, 'Sonic Highways.' Check out the interview above.

"This series is just wonderful, it's wonderful," Stewart tells Grohl as the conversation commences. "It's old-school but in the best possible way." After asking Grohl what the intention is behind the show, the rocker succinctly states, "Part of the idea was to inspire the next generation of musicians to fall in love with music just as much as we did."

The two go on to talk about the writing process for the Foos' new songs, what it was like traveling to each different city, and perhaps the most important nugget of information, the possibility of a second set of 'Sonic Highways' episodes.

"There might be a season two," Grohl says to wild cheers from the audience.

As fans anxiously wait for that possible second season, make sure to check out the season one finale tonight at 11PM ET as Grohl and company travel to New York City to record their album closer, 'I Am a River.'
