Dave Grohl Helps Out Old Folks in DC

Foo Fighters had to cancel their UK dates but Dave Grohl's busted leg didn't stop them from kicking off their North American tour on the 4th of July in Washington, DC.

While in the city where he performed in bands while growing up, Dave gave back to the community with a benefit for 'We Are Family DC.' Which is pretty much like Meals on Wheels, where volunteers help local seniors with food and companionship.

Before the Foo's show at RFK Stadium, Dave hosted a motorcycle rally and ride and raised nearly $8,000 for the charity.
