You may have seen Dave Grohl on drums for Zac Brown Band at their recent performance at the Country Music Awards. If you didn't, you missed an incredible collaboration.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no country music fan, but the thing I like about Zac Brown, besides the fact that he's hugely talented, is that he's a genuine fan of Dave Grohl. He's not just trying to team up with big names to sell records, this guy is the real deal.

The guys first met when Zac was picking up his outfit for the Grammy's at some fancy store in Los Angeles. They started talking analog and became instant friends. Zac and Dave kept in touch after their collaboration at the Country Music Awards and are now releasing an EP together.

The Grohl Sessions: Vol. 1 will have four songs, three originals and a cover of a Wood Brothers song called 'The Muse'. The EP will be out on December 10th with a Vol. 2 and documentary coming in 2014.

"I don't know how I tricked him into working with us, but it's really cool," Zac Brown says in the video above. I don't know either, but I'm excited for any and all new projects involving my boy Dave.
