Classic, alternative indie rock band Dinosaur Jr. have just announced a summer show at The Wilma!

The show is Friday, August 31st and tickets are $25 in advance or $28 the day of the show. Get yours at the Top Hat box office, online or by calling 877-987-6487. Doors at 7, show starts at 8 p.m.

The band's current and original lineup consists of J Mascis (guitar, vocals), Lou Barlow (bass, vocals), and Murph (drums).
Dinosaur Jr.'s  self titled debut album Dinosaur was released in 1985. The band was originally just named Dinosaur, but were forced to change their name due to legal reasons, thus adding "Jr." 1987 and 1988 saw the releases of their next two albums, You're Livng All Over Me and Bug respectively. The former was listed number 40 on Pitchfork Media's 'Top 100 Albums of the 1980s.'
Both albums earned spots on Beats per Minutes 'Top 100 Albums of the 1980s'  and were also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. Collectively, the three albums have been lauded as important and influential works within the indie/alt-rock scene of the late 1980s and early 90s.
Dinosaur Jr. had their creative differences, which caused the disbandment of the original members in the early 1990s. It took about 15 years, but in 2005, Mascis, Barlow, and Murch reunited and have since released four more records together. Their most recent album Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not, came out in 2016.
