Missoula is a little sore and exhausted today after a weekend of dirty dashing.

Saturday's Dirty Dash was at the Equestrian Park near Big Sky High School here in Missoula. Even if you didn't go, you likely were aware of the event by seeing all of the muddy pictures posted on Facebook. The annual run & obstacle course tours the country, and raises money for local charities in each community. They raised about $18,000 last year for CASA of Missoula, who were also the non-profit to benefit from this year's event. CASA also runs the beer garden, so thanks to them for keeping us from getting too thirsty!

There are 2 runs, the 5K earlier in the day followed by a family friendly run in the afternoon. The 5K actually has several beer stops and the family race has an option for

kid's birthday parties. The weather on Saturday couldn't have been more perfect, which made for some fun photo ops.

And speaking of photos, if you were one of the 4,000 people who got a group pic by the Dirty Dash crew at the end of each race, here's where you can find and download them.

We recommend registering for next year's Dash as soon as possible, it's far cheaper than waiting until the last minute and paying at the gate.
