Police were called to a home in Hamilton Tuesday afternoon in response to a domestic disturbance.

Hamilton Police Chief Ryan Oster said 26 year-old Alexander Gratton allegedly kicked out a window to enter the residence where he then assaulted a family member inside the home.

Gratton was arrested and was initally charged with felony burglary, but Oster said after detectives investigated the incident, they withdrew the burglary charge.

Gratton is now being charged with three misdemeanors, criminal mischief, trespassing, and partner of family member assault.
