Elk Numbers Down in 2016 Hunting – Montana FWP Update 11/14/16

The lack of weather and snow has gotten the elk harvest numbers down so far in the 2016 season. As someone who has hunted elk my whole life, i have learned you need the snow to fly for the elk to move. Rumor has it that we have some snow in the forecast for the weekend. Fingers crossed it will be enough to get the critters stirred up. Our friend Ron Aashiem, with the Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks, recently checked in with us.
