On a day when the normally unflappable Jordan Johnson threw three interceptions, Montana's defense and special teams came through with yet another heart-pounding win on the road, beating the University of South Dakota 31-27.

Montana's defense once again gave up huge chunks of yardage, but managed to hold the Coyotes to only three second-half points.

It was wide receiver and returner Ellis Henderson who became the hero on this day, with nearly 315 all-purpose yards, including two touchdowns from Johnson.

The biggest play of the day came with under two minutes left in the game, when the Coyotes kicked off to Henderson, who flew up the sidelines, eluding the punter and went into the end zone virtually untouched, for a 98-yard touchdown. That made the score 31-27 with just 90 seconds left to play.

The Coyotes drove the field with 10 seconds left, and were facing a fourth-down, when Grizzly safety Bo Tully knocked down a pass in the end zone, giving the ball back to Montana.

Montana now stands at 8-2 overall, and will return home to host Weber State on Saturday, November 16.
