DESCRIPTION:    Chamberlin Rail Jam is returning to Missoula on March 8 and March 9! Join us for some sick snow tricks and shredding in Caras Park on rails brought in by Lost Trail\, followed by some electronic beats provided by Gramatik\, Minnesota\, ProtoHype and DCarls.  INFORMATION  Tickets  General Admission to watch the event is FREE! VIP tickets are on sale now online at Eventbrite.com. The earlier you buy\, the more you save! Advance tickets include both Friday and Saturday admission and both evenings of concerts. Day-of tickets are available at the gate and are day-passes only. SUMMARY:2013 Texaco Country Showdown in Missoula
DESCRIPTION:The largest country music talent showcase and radio promotion in the world is back in Missoula!  The Texaco Country Showdown is designed to find the most promising country music talent in America\, and to give these performers a chance to launch their professional careers. Over 4\,000 radio stations nationwide are providing a platform to showcase all the talent. All of these stations will hold a hometown country showdown throughout the spring and summer. Nationwide\, thousands of artists will compete as groups\, duos and solo acts in the year 2013.  Missoula’s big day will take place June 1 at The Sunrise Saloon in Missoula.  The winner of the show in Missoula will receive cash and prizes and represent our town at the state contest\, which will be held August 3 at the Montana State Fair in Great Falls. The winner of the state title will receive one thousand dollars in prize money and the opportunity to advance to the regional competition this fall.  Regional winners will then receive an all-expense paid trip to compete in the nationally televised finals. At stake is a grand prize of $100\,000 and the coveted national title.  One of the keys to the success of this competition is the careful selection of judges.The judging system for the entire contest – local\, state\, regional and national – is uniform\, with five categories and a 10-point scoring system. The Texaco Country Showdown also encourages the use of original compositions. Contestants may earn bonus points for performing their own music.  The Texaco Country Showdown has helped open the door for many notable individuals\, including Martina McBride\, Tim McGraw\, Miley Cyrus\, Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert.

DESCRIPTION:MCAT presents the 11th annual High School Film Festival. The public is invited to attend 11th Annual Missoula High School Film Festival.
