After being sentenced to 10 years in prison for rape in 2010, former University of Montana Griz football player Beau Donaldson has been moved to the Treasure State Correctional Boot Camp in Deer Lodge.

NBC Montana reports the move came after a deal the pardons and parole board gave him after his first parole hearing in May. The Missoulian reports that although he was denied his request for parole, the state board actually recommended the camp program, suggesting that "if he is successful, he can go to a four-month aftercare program in Great Falls" and request for another parole hearing.

The parole board recommended him for a 100-day boot camp. If he successfully completes the boot camp program, he will go to a four-month aftercare program in Great Falls.

Donaldson was sentenced 2013 to 30 years in prison with 20 years suspended.
