An explosion near the Bison & Bear Mercantile near Seeley Lake has injured two.

"At 8:17 a call came in, there was an explosion at the Bison & Bear Mercantile, which is at the 3100 block of Highway 83," Said Missoula Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer Paige Pavalone. "We don't know much so far, we know that it was possibly a propane tank exploded. Two people were transported into Missoula hospitals for burns."

Other reports suggest that the explosion may have been caused by some nearby construction near a gas line.

According to reports from those near the scene, one individual was life flighted, while the other was taken by ambulance. Damage to the building did not appear to be severe.

Further reports say one of the burn victims has been transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington for further treatment.
