Get coaches with experience at the highest levels of college football and get coaches with Montana in their blood.

That has been the template for new Montana Grizzly head football coach Bobby Hauck since he returned late last year to once again lead the program. And it looks like he hit the mark again Tuesday when it was officially announced that former Griz quarterback Brent Pease will be coming back to Montana as the assistant head coach and receivers coach.

Pease, one of the most prolific quarterbacks in Griz history and an assistant coach on the 1995 national championship team, returns to Missoula after 27 years of assistant coaching experience with some of the premier college programs in the nation (Florida, Washington, Boise State, just to name a few). As a senior in 1986, he ushered in the Washington-Grizzly Stadium era, leading all of Division I-AA football in total offense.

Brent's wife Paula (Good) is also a Griz alum and member of the Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame for her prolific track and field career.

So, welcome back, Coach Pease! The coaching reunion tour marches on!
