Girl Shaves Head to Support Friend with Cancer, Gets Kicked Out of School

A little girl in Grand Junction, Colorado has been suspended from school after shaving her head to support her best friend who has been diagnosed with a rare type of cancer.

Kamryn Renfro said she simply wanted to display solidarity with her bestie, who has lost her hair due to chemotherapy. However, the dress code at her school states that shaved heads, hats and bandanas are not allowed. So they asked Kamryn not to attend school on Monday.

Reacting to public outcry, the school has allowed Kamryn to return to school today (Tuesday) while school officials meet to discuss how to proceed.

Little kid shows genuine compassion and gets kicked out of school. Certainly a WTF moment. Shame on these people.
