Gojira's star is definitely on the rise after the release of their stellar 2016 album Magma, and you can catch the band on tour in the U.S. this May.

Fresh off their multiple Grammy nominations, Gojira will be hitting the road in May, with Kyng opening the first two shows of their tour. The band will have various support artists throughout their run in North America, with Deafheaven and Code Orange all joining the band at different points. The trek, which will also feature some co-headlining dates with Opeth, will start in New Orleans on May 2 and head east and back toward the Midwest before wrapping in Columbus, Ohio with the band's Rock on the Range appearance.

Tickets for the headlining tour will go on sale this Friday (Feb. 17) at 10AM local time. For additional information on ticketing, be sure to visit the band's website.

Gojira will also return to North American in late July and August, this time as an opening act as they'll join Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold for dates. Tickets for that tour will go on sale this Friday for the general public.
