I know you can't trust the unpredictable April weather, but at least for now, partly sunny and 48 sounds like a good enough football forecast, right?

That's what Saturday, April 14, is looking like right now in Missoula for the annual Montana Grizzly Football Spring Game, kicking off at 1:00 p.m. at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. With a day full of activities surrounding the game, this year's scrimmage will have the feeling of a Griz football Saturday in the fall. Fans can enjoy events for the whole family as excitement for the 2018 season soars in head coach Bobby Hauck's first year back at Montana. As Coach Hauck puts it, "Our fans need to get cranked up this spring and get their first taste of Montana-tough football. We'll have a bunch of recruits here and I want them to see the fan base and how excited people are."

The Grizzly Scholarship Association tailgate site will be open, on Campus Drive across the road from the north end of the stadium. Starting at 11:00 a.m., they'll be serving up food and beverages. The kids will love the bouncy house, and Monte the mascot and the UM cheer squad will make appearances, too. Fans can also pick up the latest Griz logo wear from vendors around the stadium.

Tickets are just $5 each and available at the Adams Center ticket office, Red's Bar, Stockman's Bar, the Press Box and Universal Athletics. Tickets will also be on sale at the gate before the game.

There has never been what you would call a huge turnout at the spring game when it's held here in Missoula. Maybe we can all be part of a new tradition. Let's pack the place and show this year's team, coaches and recruits that we are READY!
