It's a great day for Montana fans. It's also a great day for die-hard Seahawks fans like me.

The guy who has scored the more touchdowns than anyone in Griz history is now a member of the Seattle Seahawks.

Chase Reynolds signed an NFL rookie contract last night after working out for the Hawks at their headquarters in Renton, Washington. He got the call Monday, flew from Missoula to Seattle that night, worked out Tuesday morning, and was a Seahawk by midnight.

Chase went undrafted this year, even after Mel Kiper, Jr. called him one of the top 'sleeper' picks at the running back position. (You know, the guy with the hair that ESPN drags out of a storage unit once a year to predict who will go where?)

Now not to burst your bubble, Montana fan, but he still has to make the 53-man roster, and the running back position is a crowded one for Seattle. However, Chase's speed and running style would be a great fit in head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell's new system. Don't be surprised if he gets signed to the practice squad this year.

Congrats, Chase! Go Hawks!
