Guns N' Roses are about to bring one of their best live experiences to the big screen, with some pretty awesome 3D effects thrown in for good measure. The band's 2012 residency at Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was filmed and has now been turned into a movie that will get theatrical screenings this summer. With the project nearing, the group has now offered the first extended trailer for the movie.

The clip opens in the desolate heat of the western desert with the voice over, "The desert -- unforgiving, barren, lifeless … until now!," leading into the reveal of the Guns N' Roses live set. The three-and-a-half minute trailer showcases the band's performance chops, featuring such fan favorites as 'Welcome to the Jungle,' 'Sweet Child O' Mine,' 'Live and Let Die,' 'November Rain,' 'You Could Be Mine,' 'Knockin' on Heaven's Door' and 'Paradise City.'

The announcer offers the challenge, "If you only see one concert film in your lifetime, this is the one to see." High expectations for sure, but admittedly the overall visual and musical production does look first rate.

While an official release date has not been revealed for the movie, the trailer ends with the tease, "Coming in 3D this summer to a theater near you." So get ready for 'Guns N Roses' 'Appetite for Democracy 3D: Live From the Hard Rock Casino,' taken from the band's sold out 2012 Las Vegas residency.
