Now that 343 Industries has taken over the Halo series from Bungie, they’re hard at work on the fourth installment of the best-selling series.

They’ve decided to release the date for the trailer via Red Vs Blue, the goofy machinima webseries from Rooster Teeth. If you’re rather not watch the trailer just know that it’s set to hit November 6th, 2012.

Master Chief will return to the series despite his lack of life at the end of Halo 3, as well as his buddy Cortana who gets a new, oddly sexier look. Plans are for the story to be less of a straight first person shooter and more of an adventure game, adding elements of mystery and exploration, somewhat like Halo 3: ODST.

The multiplayer will be different as well with more of an emphasis on story, new customizeable loadouts and abilities, and even a new co-op mode called, ‘Spartan Ops’. They seem to be adding a lot of new features but what do you think – will you give Halo a chance now that Bungie’s gone? Let us know in the comments below.
