The Hamilton Lady Broncs fell short in their loser-out game against Butte Central Saturday morning in the Western A Divisional basketball tournament. The 9:30 a.m. game was played at the Hamilton Middle School gym and Hamilton was 5 points short at the final buzzer, 38 to 33. Hamilton had advanced to the morning game by defeating Corvallis with a thrilling "buzzer-beater" 3 point basket Friday. But, the scrappy Butte Central team, who lost their semi-final game against Browning yesterday evening 52 to 18, stayed with the Lady Broncs throughout the contest and pulled ahead in the final minutes for the victory. They will play in the Girls Western A consolation game this afternoon at 3:30 and will also go to the State Tournament in Great Falls March 7. The Girls Western A championship is between Columbia Falls and Browning. at 6:30 p.m.

The Hamilton Broncs will play Butte Central for the Western A boys champiionship at about 8:30 p.m. and that game will be on the air at KLYQ 1240 AM, www.klyq.com and on the cellphones and smart speakers around the world.
