The number-one ranked Hamilton High Broncs continued their unblemished Class A football record with a 48 to 14 win over the Stevensville Yellowjackets Friday, September 21. It was the first conference battle for both Bitterroot Valley teams. The contest was at Hamilton's Haynes Field on a beautiful late summer night.

Hamilton scored all their points in the first half, with about an equal amount of passing and rushing. Unofficially, they had 118 yards on the ground and 138 yards through the air. Stevensville scored late in the first quarter and not again until the 4th quarter. After Hamilton reached the 48 to 7 mark, the 35-point rule for Montana high school football kept the game clock running except for time-outs and injuries. The game ended before 9 p.m. The Broncs are now 4 and 0 on the season, with a game at the Corvallis Blue Devils home field next Friday. That game will be on KLYQ 1240 AM radio, klyq.com and also on your your cellphone with the KLYQ app. It's free!
