Hatebreed has just revealed the new track “A.D.” The cut is Hatebreed’s first to be released from the group’s seventh studio album, The Concrete Confessional.

“A.D.” is a ripping new song featuring ferocious vocals from Jamey Jasta and ripping guitar. “A.D.” most likely stands for “American Dream,” but as Jasta told us yesterday in an exclusive interview, it’s all up for interpretation. Stay tuned for our video interview with Jasta coming soon to Loudwire.

“A.D.” acts as the opening track to The Concrete Confessional and sets the tone for the album, which deals heavily with topics such as social injustice, police brutality, drug abuse and self-positivity through positive mental attitude.

"'A.D.' was a way that I could voice my frustration about the loss of opportunities available to the average guy," says Jasta. "With the government and big business drowning in corruption and greed, the average person is being squeezed, so achieving the American dream is becoming less and less real. We all need to pay closer attention to what our elected leaders are doing. Start locally, in your own community, make your representatives accountable."

Hatebreed will soon embark on a North American tour with Devildriver, Devil You Know and Act of Defiance. The Concrete Confessional will be out May 17. To pre-order the album and plenty of bundle packs, click here.
