Back in November, Hellyeah announced they would release a new album in 2019. The group had been in the studio recording at the time of drummer Vinnie Paul’s untimely death, but promised soon after that they would complete the album and release it as a tribute to the late musician.

While there’s still not a release date for the effort, which will mark the Paul’s final album with the group, the band is asking fans to help created the artwork for the album. The group took to Instagram to ask fans to submit photos of themselves with Vinnie Paul. The caption reads in part, “We want you to be a part of our upcoming album art! Go to the link in our profile to post a photo of yourself with Vinnie Paul.”

Fans are encouraged to post photos with Paul on Facebook. But, be warned, there are rules fans need to follow to be included. The photo should be of only two people, yourself and Vinnie. No third parties or more than two people in a photo will be accepted. By submitting a photo you grant Hellyeah the “perpetual right and license throughout the universe to use and exploit your photograph image and likeness for any purpose whatsoever in any and all media now known of hereafter devised.” Read the entire post below.

The always outgoing drummer was beloved in the music industry and was known for his bond in reaching out to fans as well. Loudwire's own Graham Hartmann and Joe DiVita both have their treasured photos with Paul as well.

Vinnie Paul passed away from a massive heart attack on June 22, 2018 at the age of 54. He was omitted from the recent Grammy Awards “In Memoriam” segment, which drew the ire from fans and the heavy metal community, including Lzzy Hale as well as members of Alice in Chains and Trivium among others.

Hellyeah recently posted a clips of new music on Instagram. The highly anticipated effort will mark Vinnie Paul's final album. In November, bassist Kyle Sanders said the effort was 75% done and "playing bass with that drummer, being the foundation with him in this band, I'm so satisfied with what we've done together. And what we just did on this whole record together. I couldn't be more proud."
