As much as I don't want to quote Whitney Houston, "I believe the children are our future." I believe that music is the only thing that separates us from the animals (besides the opposable thumbs). The kids of the Frenchtown High School band are a talented group, who love music and are looking to show off their musical skills at Disneyland's "Magic Music Days." Not only will they get to perform for visitors to the park, but they will also attend music clinics and workshops. However, as we know, it is difficult getting one kid to Southern California, let alone a bunch. That is where the community's help is needed..

The band has been working hard on their studies, their music and fundraising. Doing everything from nacho bingo to selling fruit. Their next BIG event will be Friday, December 13, with a live and silent auction at the Holiday Inn-Downtown from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will be a great outing for the whole family, featuring not only the auctions, but also desserts, gift wrapping, prizes, a kids' corner and even the "big man" himself. Bring the kids down for pictures with Santa.

Make your plans now to be a part of some holiday fun, and embrace the spirit of giving this holiday season.
