The music Tuesday evening hopefully will carry Hamilton High School students to New York City's Carnegie Hall in December.

A benefit concert to help pay expenses for the school's performance on the grand stage will be at the HHS Performing Arts Center October 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Choir Director Peggy Boucheit said the program includes former Hamilton High School music department standouts Tim Shonkwiler, Farley Burrows, Cara Schultz and Maria Zepeda.

Suggested donations are between $5 and $10. And concessions will be available.

Money raised will help with expenses for over 45 students of the Concert Choir to perform in "The American Christmas Carol" December 1. That concert raises money for the the Golden Hat Foundation, helping people with autism. The students will also do some tourist things - visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the 9/11 Memorial and the Empire State Building. They leave for New York November 30.

The students have been fundraising this fall and are also helping with the Daly Mansion Haunted Hayrides Friday and Saturday, October 28 and 29.
