Steve Jobs is stepping down as the CEO of Apple.

Trendy geeks everywhere (myself included) are stunned, but not necessarily surprised.

Jobs has had a series of health issues in the last few years, though his resignation letter made no mention of them. Tim Cook, the company's chief operating officer, is stepping into the CEO role.

Jobs will stay on as chairman, where he will likely oversee the release of the iPhone 5, 6, 7, 7 and a half, and iPhone Eleventy Billion, all within the next three months.

CNN has details on Jobs' resignation HERE.
