A man from Goshen, Indiana is on his way to Missoula this week to face child sex charges.

44 year-old Mikol Aspinwall has been charged with sexual abuse of children, after twice in August contacting a 13 year-old girl over the internet and attempting to persuade her to engage in online sexual contact. Deputy Missoula County Attorney Jennifer Clark said while the victim lives in Missoula, Aspinwall was in Goshen, Indiana at the time of the contact.

"He tried to solicit from her photos of her body through the internet," Clark said. "The internet Crimes Against Children Division issued subpoenas to identify where these message had come from, and were able to identify the source as Mikol Aspinwall. Once that was done, we charged Aspinwall with sexual abuse of children, and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Clark said the charge carries a possible life sentence and up to a $10,000 fine.

Aspinwall is currently en route to Missoula to face charges. He will appear in justice court sometime next week. As of Friday, he was not yet listed on the Missoula County Jail roster.
