I have been cracking up at all the memes that have been popping up online, of people trolling a New York Daily News reporter for his story on the AR-15. Now I understand the debate about the popular gun, and I am not going to stand on a soap box and tell you my opinion on the topic. But, I can't help but laugh at how ignorant some people can be. Here in the state we call home, we are aware of our gun culture. Many of us learn how to properly handle a firearm at a young age. But, some sheltered people in our country have never even seen a gun before, let alone fire one.

In a nut shell, Gersh Kuntzman, decided to do an investigative report on the AR-15. He went to a local gun range and arranged to fire one. He discussed his experience in his story, saying "The recoil bruised my shoulder, which can happen if you don't know what you're doing. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary form of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable."

That is what makes so many people so annoyed by the report. For many who have fired an AR-15, it is NOTHING like what Kuntzman explains. It is basically a member of the media attempting to start a "witch hunt." We have found a dramatic re-enactment of what that situation could have possibly looked like.
